Introduction to Waseda University

One of the top universities in Japan, the OUS - Waseda University program offers exchange students the opportunity to take courses, taught in English, side-by-side with Japanese students in the School for International Liberal Studies (SILS). SILS offers coursework in Asian studies, the sciences, economics and business, political science, history and linguistics, to name a few. Exchange participants also take Japanese language courses at all levels. Students are supported by SILS staff and the OUS Resident Director and Program Associate. This is primarily a homestay program so students live with host families allowing for an enhanced cultural immersion experience. Limited dormitory placements may be available or necessary subject to the term to term availability of host families.

The Oregon University System International Programs are cooperative programs to which all students in public universities in Oregon have access. The programs are predominately reciprocal exchanges that bring students to Oregon campuses.
